The Socceroos have qualified for their first FIFA Confederations Cup appearance since 2005 and we cannot wait to get to Russia to support the boys!
The FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 will see the Socceroos challenge the world’s best, headlined by Germany (2014 World Cup winners), Chile (back-to-back South American champions), and the soon to be determined champions of Africa.
The names on show speak for themselves: Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, Manuel Neuer, Mario Götze, Thomas Müller and Toni Kroos are among the stars staring down Ange Postecoglou’s men.
But having made the final in 1997 and the semi-final four years later, history proves Australia can’t be written off as a genuine title prospect. Will our boys make history on the famous Krestovsky Stadium turf?
We’re excited to offer two tours for you to experience the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017:
Follow Australia: Group Stage I 15-26 June 2017 I Commences in Moscow
Our action-packed 11-night tour commences in one of the world’s most historic cities. Moscow isn’t just the heart of Russia but home to the Kremlin, Red Square, St Basil’s Cathedral and a Metro so beautiful it has to be seen to be believed. We’ll then head to the resort city of Sochi (Australia v Germany) and spectacular Saint Petersburg (Australia v African champions) before concluding the tour where it all began in Moscow (Australia v Chile).
Final Stages I 26 June – 3 July 2017
Taking in the pointy-end is our 7-night ‘Final Stages’ tour. If Australia progress from the group stage (which of course we will!!) we will follow the Socceroos. If Australia doesn’t progress we will follow the runner up of our group to Kazan, and then back to Saint Petersburg for the final.
We’ve already crisscrossed Russia to prepare these tours and have found it’s a country that will exceed all expectations. If you’re a lover of football, culture and fun times – with the odd splash of vodka and serving of pelmeni – these are tours you can’t miss.
