Here are our anchor properties for the 4-star program, with additional hotels of a similar standard to be added as tour numbers increase. Our team has inspected all hotels in our programs, following extensive on-the-ground research across multiple neighbourhoods in each host city. Every hotel has been selected for safety, walkability, and convenient access to a wide range of bars and restaurants, ensuring guests can enjoy each destination beyond match days. In some cities, we have secured 5-star hotels and have incorporated them into our 4-star program where possible to elevate our guest experience

So our team were absolutely thrilled to secure a significant allocation of rooms for the travelling Green & Gold Army at the 5 star Sutton Place.  The hotel offers modern guestrooms, a gym and an award-winning restaurant – Our team loved their recent stay at this hotel!

Our stay in Whistler is all about taking in the alpine landscape, breathing the pure air, and visiting the village’s plethora of bars and restaurants to take in all the World Cup action.

Newly renovated and ideally positioned opposite the iconic Embarcadero — the heart of San Francisco’s waterfront — we could not ask for a better base hotel in San Francisco. Our team were blown away by the hotel’s stunning 17 level atrium when we inspected this hotel. We have contracted hundreds of rooms at this hotel and are in for a great stay in San Francisco!

ARIA Resort & Casino – 5 Star

(18 Night Tour: 26 – 28 June)

Located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, ARIA will host our 18-Night Tour guests for the final two nights of their World Cup journey — a fitting finale in true Vegas style. We can’t wait!

Intercity Transport – 14 Night Tour: 

The 14 Night Tour price includes all intercity transport: (a) coach transfers from Vancouver to Whistler; (b) coach transfer from Whistler to Seattle; (c) flight from Seattle to Los Angeles; (d) coach transfer from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

Intercity Transport – 18 Night Tour:
The 18 Night Tour price currently does not include the intercity transport costs. Intercity transport services for this tour include: (a) flight Los Angeles to Vancouver; (b) coach transfer Vancouver to Whistler; (c) coach transfer Whistler to Seattle; (d) flight Seattle to Los Angeles; (e) coach transfer Los Angeles to San Francisco; (f) flight San Francisco to Las Vegas. Our team is currently working with charter flight partners and expects to confirm the intercity transport costs in late January. The expected cost will be approximately $2,750–$3,250 and when finalised added to packages.

How do I purchase FIFA World Cup tickets for Australia’s matches?

There are numerous ways to purchase match tickets

  • First Come, First Served Phase (estimated March 2026). Tickets go on sale to the public on a first come first served basis.

  • FIFA Hospitality (on sale now) Premium match experiences with hospitality packages

  • GGA Community Exchange Service (from March 2026). We facilitate introductions and safe transfers between Australian fans.

  • FIFA.com/tickets Resale Platform. A secure platform to purchase tickets from fans who can no longer attend (available now).

I did not apply in any of the past FIFA Ticket Ballots. Can I still join the tour?

Yes, options to secure tickets still exist and our team can provide individual advice on what pathways remain. Contact worldcup@ggarmy.com to engage with our team.

What is the Match Ticket Guarantee?

If you’ve made reasonable and timely efforts to secure tickets for the Socceroos Group Stage matches through FIFA and/or Football Australia’s official channels, but have not secured tickets to all 3 group stage matches and we’re unable to assist you through our support services, you can cancel your tour booking and receive a full refund of your ground package.

What qualifies as “reasonable & timely” efforts to secure tickets?

This means you must apply in the various FIFA and Football Australia Match Ticket Ballots, and you must purchase tickets through FIFA’s first-come-first-served sales phase and resale platform when available.

What if tickets were available and I choose not to buy them?

Then you won’t qualify for the Match Ticket Guarantee Refund.

When can I cancel under the Match Ticket Guarantee?

If you haven’t secured tickets by 24 March 2026, you can cancel during the 7 day period until 31st March 2026

Are International Flights included?

No. International Flights are additional. If you want to join the GGArmy flights from Australia to Los Angeles (18 Night Tour) or Vancouver (14 Night Tour) please email worldcup@ggarmy.com and we will provide flight details and costs.

Do I need a VISA to enter the USA, Canada or Mexico?

USA: Australian citizens can travel to the US without a visa for up to 90 days for tourism or business under the Visa Waiver Program, provided they have ESTA authorisation. To secure an ESTA authorisation you can apply here: https://au.usembassy.gov/visas/
CANADA: Australian passport holders must apply for an electronic travel authorisation (eTA) before travelling to Canada. To secure your eTA you can apply here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta.html
MEXICO: Australians do not require a VISA to enter Mexico as a tourist for a period of up to 180 days. Simply show a valid passport on arrival into Mexico.

When do I find out the name and location of our tour hotels?

We will provide you with accommodation information (including address) at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the tour.

I’m a solo traveller – what are my options?

The GGA operates a solo traveller match service. Our management matches solo travellers to room share. We have vast experience at this, and it is a great way to travel if you are on your own. We match people of similar demographics and facilitate a pre-tour introduction.

If I book on the 18-Night Tour can I change to the 14-Night Tour or vis-versa?

The cut off date for changing from the 18-night tour to the 14-night tour is 1 February. The cut off date for changing from the 14-night tour to the 18-night tour is 1 April.

Who travels on the GGA Tours?

A whole range of Australian football fans travel with us – for our 2022 tour in Qatar, our youngest traveller was 5 years old, and our oldest traveller was 84! We have lots of father-son combinations, groups of friends, couples, and solo travellers. Our travelling groups are very diverse, and you bound to meet lots of like-minded people. If you’re a female looking to tour with us, rest-assured there will be many other females travelling – around 25% of our tour groups are female. If you’re a solo traveller, we haven’t forgotten you: we offer a solo-match program where we match you with another solo traveller of similar age to room-share. This keeps the cost down for you and means you meet a fellow traveller straight away.

Will GGA be offering tour extensions for the Round of 32 & 16 and beyond
