On this 11-day football and tourism experience you will attend all 3 of Australia’s group games and Japan’s final group fixture. Our tour will be based in pulsating Bangkok, following the Olyroos who will be playing matches at Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani and Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok. It is the perfect combination of taking in all that Thailand has to offer and passionately supporting Australia at the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship.

KNOCKOUT Stage Summary 

On this 11-day football and tourism experience you will attend 5 finals (Quarter Finals x2 Semi Final x1, 3v4 Playoff & Final) including all the Australian matches should we qualify. Only 3 teams qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games so the business end of the event will be exciting. This tour is the perfect combination of enjoying a holiday in Thailand, staying in 4 star luxury city hotel accommodation and experiencing the best U-23 Asian football.

• Solo Traveller Match Program: we’ll match you with a person of similar age and gender to room share to keep the price down. Twin share pricing applies. 25% of our travellers did this for 2019 France and it was a highly successful program. You can select this option during the booking process.

• GGArmy Selection Guarantee: In the event you are a family/friend of one of the players and booked on our program and the player you are connected with does not make the final squad we will refund your tour booking. • Our return international group flights are with Thai Airways and services are provided from Sydney and Melbourne and are inclusive of hotel arrival and departure transfers. Bangkok: Rembrandt Hotel Suites & Towers (4 Star)

The Rembrandt has 3 award-winning restaurants, rooftop bar, an outdoor pool with city skyline views and first-rate spa. Offering free WiFi, it is a 10-minute walk from Asoke BTS, Sukhumvit MRT Station/s and a 45-minute drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Boasting city views from floor-to-ceiling windows, modern rooms come with a 32-inch flat-screen cable TV and a laptop safe. Spacious bathrooms have all-natural toiletries and a hairdryer. Asoke has a vibrant village atmosphere with much to see and do on the hotel’s doorstep.

Note that our packages are structured to meet operational and guest requirements. This means that there are items relevant to the tour that are not included in the packages listed above and will be an additional cost. We have listed them below so you can understand them prior to booking on our tour.

Group International Flights

International Flights are not included in the package price and are an additional cost. GGA provides an a group international flight and arrival/departure transfer service from Sydney and Melbourne which can be added to your selected package. The price for this service is $1,600 and includes arrival and departure airport/hotel transfers. Contact us if you would like to include our Group International Flight service in your package.

Cultural & Sightseeing Day Tours
Like all our other tours on days that Australia is not playing a carefully selected suite of guided cultural/historical sightseeing day tours will be offered to all tour participants/guests as an optional additional purchase. Our optional sightseeing day tours are a great way to enjoy Thailand’s tourism highlights with other tour participants, building on  your tour friendships.

Match Tickets

At the time of publishing our tour the price for match tickets was not available. We will secure match tickets for all people on our tour and participants will be billed for these at cost only once the tickets become available. We purchase a group allocation so all tour participants can sit together. We anticipate the ticket prices to be very affordable.

GROUP STAGE MACRO ITINERARY

Day 1: 7^th January: Guests arrive into Bangkok and settle in at the tour hotel and in the evening informally meeting fellow tour participants & guides at our Welcome Drinks.

Day 2: 8^th January: Match Day. Mid-morning transfer to our pre-match luncheon event venue. After lunch we transfer to Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani for the 17:15 Iraq v Australia match.

Day 3: 9^th January.  Optional Day Tour Activity Damnern Saduak Floating Market.

Day 4: 10^th January. Optional Day Tour Activity Ayutthaya World Heritage site & Bang-Pa Summer Palace to King Rama V.

Day 5: 11^th January. Match Day. Mid-afternoon transfer to our pre-match event venue. After our event we transfer to Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok for the 20:15 Australia v Thailand match.

Day 6: 12^th January. Free day. In the evening Optional Bangkok Tour Activity Night Lights Tuk Tuk tour.

Day 7: 13^th January. Rest Day. In the afternoon we visit Olyroos training (subject to FFA approval).

Day 8: 14^th January. Match Day. Afternoon transfer to our pre-match event venue. After the event we transfer to Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani for the 20:15 Australia v Bahrain match

Day 9: 15^th January. Match Day. Late afternoon transfer to Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok for the 20:15 Qatar v Japan match.

Day 10: 16^th January. Optional Day Tour Activity River Kwai & WWII Death Railway.

Day 11: 17^th January. Group Stage Tour ends.

R16 & QTR’s MACRO ITINERARY

Day 1: 17^th January: Guests arrive into Bangkok and settle in at the tour hotel. For those guests continuing on from the Group Phase Tour this day is a designated rest day. Enjoy the pool or enjoy the village atmosphere in Asoke.

Day 2: 18^th January: Match Day. This day is the QTR Final day that Australia will play in the event we qualify. Quarter Finals are in Pathurm Thani or Bangkok. Australia could either play at Thammasat Stadium or Rajamangala Stadium. Our itinerary will be confirmed once Australia’s match schedule is confirmed. In the event Australia do not qualify we will be heading to Rajamangala Stadium. The match will kick off at 20:15.

Day 3: 19^th January: Match Day. Late afternoon transfer to Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok for the 20:15 Quarter Final 1D v 2C match.

Day 4: 20^th January. Optional Day Tour Activity Bangkok Temple Highlights Grand Palace, the emerald Buddha Temple & Wat Pho.

Day 5: 21^st January. Optional Day Tour Activity Pattaya City & Koh Larn Island.

Day 6: 22^nd January. Match Day. This day is the SEMI Final day that Australia will play in the event we qualify. SEMI Finals are in Pathurm Thani or Bangkok. Australia could either play at Thammasat Stadium or Rajamangala Stadium. Our itinerary will be confirmed once Australia’s match schedule is confirmed. In the event Australia do not qualify we will be heading to Rajamangala Stadium. The match will kick off at 20:15.

Day 7: 23^rd January. Rest Day. In the afternoon we visit Olyroos training (subject to FFA approval).

Day 8: 24^th January. Optional Day Tour Activity Damnern Saduak Floating Market.

Day 9: 25^th January. Match Day. Late afternoon transfer to Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok for the 19:30 3v4 Playoff match.
