Groups of over 500 Australians travelled with the Green & Gold Army to the South Africa, Brazil and Russia and Qatar World Cups. Our World Cup tour packages are inclusive of accommodation, ground transportation, social functions, host city tours, with Australian and bilingual local guides.
We also organise all internal transportation and optional sightseeing and cultural experiences. We take the nitty-gritty of organisation off your hands so you can relax and enjoy the footballing experience with fellow Australian fans.
We were an Official Travel Agent of Football Australia for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, and for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup France and the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar were the exclusive Official Tour Operator of Football Australia.
We operated the Official Matildas Family and Fans Tour at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup France.
We also operated the official Socceroos Family and Friends program at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
Just like you- we are football fans – and football is all we do.
While our tours are football focused – we know that’s why you’re here in the first place – we also design our tours so you can experience and uncover the sights and culture of the host destination. We also want you to get to know and develop friendships with like-minded Australian football fans.
Our pre/post-match functions are renowned for being fun (even a little raucous!) and are the perfect way to build up to the match or celebrate a victory. Our welcome functions are designed so you can get to know your fellow travellers and develop friendships with them at the beginning of the tour.
Our tours to major tournaments are hosted by former Socceroos, Matildas and media personalities who travel with the group, are approachable, and share their insights into the tournaments. John Kosmina, Kevin Muscat, Simon Hill, Ned Zelic, Lawrie McKinna, Jacob Burns, Melissa Barbieri and Francis Leach to name a few have hosted our previous tours to the South Africa, Brazil, Russia and France World Cups.
Finally, we think it’s important to leave a positive legacy in the destinations we visit. For the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, we raised $20,000 for a Red Cross-operated centre for children whose parents are HIV positive. This was enough to operate the centre for 200 children for around four months.
A highlight for many who travelled to South Africa was visiting the children’s centre which is located in a township of Johannesburg. For the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, a group volunteered their time at a working-bee at a local school, doing tasks such as painting and constructing play-equipment.
A BBQ and social match with the local community followed. These activities are not compulsory, but they are there for you to experience if you wish.
A whole range of Australian football fans travel with us – for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, our youngest traveller was 4 years old and our oldest traveller was 89!
We have lots of father-son/daughter combinations, groups of friends, couples and solo travellers. Our travelling groups are very diverse and you are bound to meet lots of like-minded people: if you’re looking for a group to party with, you’ll find them; if you’re looking for a group to join for a nice dinner, you’ll find them.
If you’re a female looking to tour with us, rest-assured there will be many other females travelling – around 30% of our tour groups are female for FIFA World Cups and that increases to 60% for FIFA Women’s World Cups.
If you’re a solo traveller, we haven’t forgotten you: we offer a solo-match program where we match you with another solo traveller of similar age to room-share. This keeps the cost down for you and also means you meet a fellow traveller straight away. Approximately 25% of all travellers opt for our solo traveller match package/s.
