Harry Souttar continued his excellent start to life in the English Premier League, helping Leicester City to a 4-1 win over Tottenham with a strong defensive display and an assist.
Souttar put in a full shift and put forward a long ball for Kelechi Iheanacho on half-time, with the Nigerian dancing forward and shooting in for the Foxes’ third goal.
Leicestershire Live rated Souttar 7/10 and wrote: “He did the basics very well, and was one of the few players who did not get drawn into making silly mistakes.
“He won his headers, kept tight to his opposite numbers, and while there were a few aimless long balls, he lofted a nice pass forward to get himself an assist for Iheanacho.”
Riley McGree scored again as Middlesbrough continued to push for promotion with a 3-1 win at Cardiff City in the English Championship.
McGree played a full game and earned an 8/10 rating from the Evening Gazette, who wrote: “Another fine display from the Australian, whose confidence seems to grow every week.
“His free-roaming role allows him the freedom to find a way to unlock the door and against a stubborn Cardiff defence – set up to contain Boro – that’s exactly what he did on multiple occasions, including for the first goal. You have to praise his effort and desire too, to in the 90th minute sprint the length of the pitch to get up with Crooks and score the goal that sealed it.”
Connor Metcalfe netted the winner as St Pauli triumphed 1-0 over Kaiserslautern in the German 2.Bundesliga on Sunday.
Metcalfe, who scored in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Hannover 96, nailed a first-time left-foot strike in the 72nd minute for the winner.
Fellow Aussie Jackson Irvine put in a full shift and was arguably available for a cutback from Metcalfe who opted to take on the shot.
Metcalfe had started the game and played an advanced role on the right flank, before being replaced in the 80th minute.
Denis Genreau made his return from injury as a 63rd minute substitute for Toulouse in a 3-1 win over Stade Rennes in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday. Genreau had been absent since undergoing groin surgery in December.
Awer Mabil came off the bench in the 71st minute before adding an assist as Sparta Prague won 6-2 at Bohemians in the Czech 1.Liga on Sunday.
Mat Ryan kept a clean sheet as AZ Alkmaar won 5-0 over Excelsior to move into top spot in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Cristian Volpato was an unused sub as AS Roma drew 1-1 at Lecce in Italy’s Serie A.
Jason Davidson put in a full shift as KAS Eupen beat Mechelen 2-1 in the Belgium’s First Division A.
Cameron Devlin came off the bench to score in Hearts’ 2-0 Scottish Cup win at Hamilton Academical on Friday.
Devlin was a 65th minute substitute and stabbed home in the 79th minute for their second goal.

Another for the JTs! Cammy Devlin pounces on Forrest's cross, forces his way through the Accies defence, before poking the ball home. Hearts double their Lanarkshire lead!

Aaron Mooy got an assist as Celtic eased past St Mirren 5-1. Mooy started and played 63 minutes, laying off the pass for Daizen Maeda’s 16th minute goal.
Keanu Baccus and Ryan Strain both started for St Mirren and were substituted off in the second half after 71 and 77 minutes respectively.
