Tom Rogic continued his excellent resurgence of form with a classy assist in West Bromwich Albion’s 2-0 win at Bristol City on Boxing Day in the English Championship.

Rogic, who came on in the 64th minute, played a neat pass down the inside-left channel for Brandon Thomas-Asante, who still had plenty to do before taking his chance.

The Australian midfielder’s contribution comes after he scored a goal and provided an assist in games earlier this month, as the Baggies have won six of their past eight games under new boss Carlos Corberan

Birmingham Live rated Rogic 7/10 and wrote: “As good as Thomas-Asante’s finish was, it can’t be underestimated how lovely Rogic’s assist was – his third for the club, and all of them coming under Corberan.”

75’ | WHAT AN OUTRAGEOUS FINISH!

BTA is played in by Rogic and he chips a sumptuous effort over the goalkeeper and into the top corner! 🍟

Harry Souttar put in a full shift and earned a 7/10 rating as Stoke City drew 3-3 at Rotherham United, getting 84 touches and winning three aerial duels.

The Stoke Sentinel wrote: “On right of back three with licence to come forward and launch long passes. A hell of a comedown after Qatar. Big touch in own box late on.”

Riley McGree was a 62nd minute substitute as Middlesbrough won 4-1 over Wigan, earning a 7/10 rating

Teesside Live wrote: “Positive display from the bench. Looked to get on the ball and almost laid on Akpom for his hat-trick with an earlier chance to grab a third.”

Bailey Wright was a 79th minute substitute to shore up the defence as Sunderland won 2-1 over Blackburn.

Cam Burgess played a full game at the back as Ipswich Town won 3-0 over Oxford United in League One.

Burgess earned a 7/10 rating from the East Anglian Daily Times who wrote: “Woolfenden’s centre-back partner did everything he needed to do in this game, heading away ball after ball early on and standing his ground for the rest of the game. These two are forming quite the partnership.”

Ash Maynard-Brewer got another start after his midweek League Cup penalty shootout heroics as Charlton drew 1-1 with Peterborough United.
