Chidiac scored with a deflected left-foot effort from Matilde Pavan’s cutback after ghosting into the box.
The Matildas midfielder wasn’t involved in Nadina Nischler’s goal for 2-0 in the 61st minute, but celebrated with some dance moves with her teammate.
Chidiac started and played 87 minutes for Como, who are up to seventh.
For Sassuolo, Nash was an unused substitute while Jacynta Galabadaraachchi came on in the 69th minute.

In England’s Women’s Super League, Sam Kerr and Ellie Carpenter both received 6/10 ratings in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Liverpool, which made it back-to-back wins for the Blues amid off-field turbulence with head of women’s football Paul Green departing.
Kerr was a 65th minute substitute for Chelsea, with Goal.com writing: “Got into good positions and provided an important focal point in attack, but was wasteful with a huge chance.”
Carpenter put in a full shift with a 6/10 rating, with Goal.com writing: “Had a fair bit of defensive work to do at the start of the game and couldn’t really get going in attack as a result. Grew into this one, though, sticking to her task well.”
