Mary Fowler made it two goals in two games to start the English WSL season on Sunday.
Fowler scored Manchester City’s second goal in a 4-1 win away to Aston Villa.
The Matilda star worked a one-two with Khadija Shaw on the edge of the box, before rifling home a left-foot strike into the bottom corner.
Villa pulled one back before half-time, with Amalie Vangsgaard beat Fowler to the ball to bundle home.
Fowler almost added to her tally with 10 minutes to play, turning and shooting on her left, forcing a good save from Akane Okuma.
Kyra Cooney-Cross played her first club minutes since February, dating back to the tragic passing of her mother whom she spent her final few months with in Australia.
Cooney-Cross played an hour for Arsenal in a frustrating 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.
“I know mum would want me here playing and training,” she told BBC Sport ahead of the game. “And I want to play for the fans as well, to say thank you to them.
“But it’s mixed emotions. Game days are very emotional for me now. They mean a lot more. I would say I’m excited, but it’s also going to be an emotional day. I want to play and I want to play for her as well and for the fans.”

Caitlin Foord was a 75th minute substitute and Steph Catley went unused.
Ellie Carpenter got on the scoresheet as Chelsea hammered Manchester United 5-0 on the road.
Carpenter scored Chelsea’s fourth goal, netting at the second attempt after being released inside the box by Wieke Kaptein.
The Matildas full-back almost scored on the stroke of half-time from a rebound but was smothered well by the United defence.
Holly McNamara was at the heart of Everton’s winner as they edged Charlton 1-0.
McNamara’s effort from a tight angle took a deflection off Leighanne Robe which took it past the goalkeeper for an own goal.
McNamara played the full 90 while Clare Wheeler went unused.
For Charlton, Emily van Egmond put in a full shift in midfield, Leah Davidson played 66 minutes up front and Grace Johnston was an 81st minute sub.
Alanna Kennedy played 87 minutes as London City Lionesses were downed 2-1 by West Ham.
In WSL 2, Alana Murphy scored for Nottingham Forest in their 2-2 draw with Watford. The 20-year-old has scored two goals in two games to start the season.

Hayley Raso played 58 minutes in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 4-2 win over Hoffenheim in Germany. Jamilla Rankin was an 81st minute sub.
Wini Heatley was on the bench as AS Roma cruised into Serie A Cup final with a 7-1 win over Sassuolo for whom Jacynta Galabadaarachchi played 78 minutes.
Charli Grant got the assist for Malmo’s winner in a 1-0 triumph over Eskilstuna in Sweden.
Sam Kerr also got an assist, providing the pass for Jaedyn Shaw’s winner as Gotham FC got past Racing Louisville 2-1 in USA.
