Mary Fowler provided a precise through ball for Manchester City’s opening goal as they booked a place in the English Women’s FA Cup semi-finals.

Fowler provided the pass for Khedija Shaw’s 53rd minute strike in City’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa, seeing them reach the final four where they’ll take on Manchester United.

The Matildas star, who put in a full shift, was rated among City’s best on the park according to BBC.

Elsewhere, Steph Catley, Caitlin Foord and Kyra Cooney-Cross all started for Arsenal who were bundled out by Liverpool 1-0.

Liverpool goalkeeper Teagan Micah was an unused substitute with Rachael Laws given game-time in the cup competition.

In England’s Championship, Emily van Egmond was a 67th minute substitute for Birmingham City in a 1-0 win at Sunderland.

Bonnie Davies was an unused sub for Blackburn Rovers as they lost 3-1 at Charlton.

In Germany’s Frauen Bundesliga, Anna Margraf was a 75th minute substitute for Carl Zeiss Jena in a 2-0 home loss to Bayer Leverkusen.

In the Dutch Eredivisie, Daniela Galic went unused for Twente in a 4-1 win at Feyenoord.

In Sweden’s Svenska Cupen Women, Polly Doran was a 77th minute sub for Linkoping in their 2-0 loss at Rosengard.
