Matildas forward Jacynta Galabadaarachchi completed her latest move to Europe, signing with Italian Serie A Femminile club Sassuolo.

The 24-year-old forward, who has previously played in Europe with Sporting Lisbon, Celtic, Napoli and West Ham United, has signed a permanent deal with Sassuolo.

The two-cap Matilda joins 20-year-old ex-Central Coast defender Jessika Nash at the Neroverdi.

The Sassuolo pair are among four Matildas in Italy’s Serie A Femminile along with AS Roma’s Wini Heatley and Como’s Alex Chidiac.

Teenage Matildas midfielder Alana Murphy has penned a deal with German Frauen 2.Bundesliga club SC Sand.

Sand sporting director Sascha Reiss said: “As a central midfielder, she impresses with her excellent passing game and remarkably high tactical understanding, especially considering her young age.

“These qualities have already enabled her to make her first appearances for the Australian national team.

“At Sand, we want to support her on her further path so that she can continue to develop and successfully establish herself in German women’s football.”

Sand missed promotion to the Bundesliga last term, finishing fourth, six points behind promoted Hamburg in third.
