Ajdin Hrustic maintained his productive form with another assist in Heracles’ 4-2 win over Go Ahead Eagles in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

Hrustic laid off the pass for Luka Kulenovic’s goal to round out the scoring in the 93rd minute, with the Australian’s fast thinking – taking a quick free-kick and working a one-two on the right flank – setting up the goal.

The assist was Hrustic’s fourth in his past three games, having also scored in the KNVB Beker late last month as he mounts a case for a World Cup squad call-up.

Max Balard started and played 80 minutes in NAC Breda’s 1-0 home loss to PSV Eindhoven.

In the Eerste Divisie, Josh Nisbet put in a full shift in Roda JC’s 1-1 draw at Emmen, while Cam Peupion started and played 81 minutes in ADO Den Haag’s 2-0 loss at Cambuur.

Jackson Irvine and Connor Metcalfe’s struggling St Pauli slumped to another defeat, going down 1-0 at home to Union Berlin in the German Bundesliga on Sunday.

Irvine made his first start for St Pauli since April but couldn’t prevent their eighth straight league loss.

Irvine started and played 64 minutes, while Metcalfe was a 73rd minute substitute.

Mat Ryan made two saves but couldn’t prevent Levante from going down 1-0 to his former club Valencia in Spain’s La Liga.

Garang Kuol earned his maiden start for Sparta Prague in a 2-1 win away to Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Chance Liga.

Kuol, who joined Sparta on a multi-year deal from Newcastle United in August, started and played 76 minutes. He’s played six times for Sparta, with no goals yet.

Lewis Miller got on the scoresheet with a header from a corner in Blackburn Rovers’ 2-1 derby win over Preston North End in the English Championship on Friday night.

Miller put in a full shift, earning a 7/10 rating from Lancashire Telegraph who wrote: “Put his head where it hurts to score his first Rovers goal. Typically full-blooded in the duels.”

Adrian Segecic returned for the first time in a month following an ankle injury, starting and playing 62 minutes in Portsmouth’s 3-1 win over Millwall.

Segecic received a 7/10 rating from Portsmouth News who wrote: “Perfect conditions for the Sydney Cyclone’s return!

“Injury lay-off has clearly not disrupted attacker’s energy levels with a display rewarded with his fourth of the season, which is definitely his goal even with the slight nick off Tristan Crama!”

Nestory Irankunda came on in the 35th minute in Watford’s 3-2 win away to Derby County. Callum Elder put in a full shift for the Rams.

Riley McGree played 30 minutes off the bench in Middlesbrough’s 1-1 draw at Oxford United. Sam Silvera was a half-time sub.

Cam Burgess played a full game in Swansea City’s 3-0 loss at Bristol City.

Apostolos Stamatelopoulos won and scored from the penalty spot in Motherwell’s 3-1 win at Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.

Stamatelopoulos, who came on in the 63rd minute, netted five minutes later for his fifth goal of the season.

Tete Yengi also scored in Livingston’s 2-1 loss to Rangers, making it 1-1 in the 18th minute.

Cameron Devlin wore the captain’s armband for Hearts as they went down 1-0 away to Aberdeen on Sunday.

Devlin was rated 7/10 by Edinburgh Evening News who wrote: “Revelled in his role as captain. Made countless tackles and won most of them, but was also booked in the second half.”

For Aberdeen, Nicolas Milanovic was an 84th minute substitute.

John Iredale opened the scoring for Seoul E-Land in their 6-0 win over Ansan Greeners in Korea’s K League 2 on Sunday. Seoul have qualified for the promotion play-offs.

Harrison Delbridge was on the bench as promoted Incheon United closed their triumphant season with a 1-0 home loss to Cheongju Jikji.

Charles Lokolingoy netted his eighth goal of the campaign as Chungnam Asan rounded out their season with a 2-1 win over Jeonnam Dragons.
