In England’s Championship, Alex Robertson started and played 64 minutes and was labelled a “class act” as Cardiff City were beaten 2-0 by Middlesbrough, for whom Riley McGree was out injured.

Sam Silvera and Kusini Yengi were both in action in Portsmouth’s 3-1 home loss to ladder-leading Sunderland.

Yengi came on in the 60th minute and was rated 5/10: “Still feeling his way back following injury lay-off and looks short.”
Nectar Triantis was absent for Sunderland, having moved to Scottish Premiership club Hibernian on a season-long loan on deadline day.
Hibs manager David Gray said: “I’m delighted to bring Nectar back to the club. He’s someone I really enjoyed working with last season and he’s another great character to add to the dressing room.
“Nectar is someone I see as a defensive midfielder who has also played a lot at centre-back, which naturally gives him a strong defensive mindset and discipline to dominate the middle of the pitch. I look forward to working with him once again.”
“I’m buzzing to be back!” 💬
