Milos Degenek returned after almost two months out with an ankle injury as Columbus Crew won 2-0 over Nashville in the MLS in the United States over the weekend.
Degenek was in Columbus’ matchday squad but remained an unused substitute throughout.
The Socceroos defender played since sustaining the ankle injury on April 30. Degenek had made nine starts prior to injury intervening.

Brad Smith wasn’t in the Houston Dynamo squad that lost 3-0 at Texas rivals Austin, while Alex Gersbach was also absent as Colorado Rapids drew 0-0 with LA Galaxy.
Harrison Delbridge and Alex Grant faced off at opposing ends as Incheon United went down 1-0 at home to Pohang Steelers with both players putting in full shifts in Korea’s K League 1.
Lachlan Jackson played a full game as Suwon FC drew 1-1 with Gangwon on Sunday.
In K League 2 on Saturday, Peter Makrillos scored a first-minute goal as Chungbuk Cheongju drew 1-1 at Busan I’Park. The goal was Makrillos’ fourth for the 2023 season.
Patrick Flottmann played a full game as Seongnam lost 1-0 at home to Bucheon.
In Japan’s J1 League, Mitch Langerak played a full game in goals as third-placed Nagoya Grampus lost 2-0 to Peter Cklamovski’s FC Tokyo on Saturday, while Thomas Deng put in a full shift as Albirex Niigata drew 0-0 at Kashiwa Reysol.
In J2, Mitch Duke started and played 86 minutes as leaders Machida Zelvia drew 1-1 at Mito Hollyhock, while Stefan Mauk was a 73rd minute substitute in Fagiano Okayama’s 0-0 draw at Ventforet Kofu.
In Norway’s Eliteserien, Patrick Yazbek got an assist as Viking beat Brann 3-1. Yazbek put in a full shift, Nick D’Agostino was a 77th minute sub and Gianni Stensness was absent.
