John Iredale scored his seventh goal of the Korean season while Nestory Irankunda played his part as Grasshoppers won their playoff to avoid relegation from the Swiss Super League.

Firstly to Japan’s J1 League where Mitch Duke and Thomas Deng faced off, with last-placed Yokohama F. Marinos winning 3-0 away to Machida Zelvia.

Duke, who netted last game, started for Machida but was replaced at half-time while Deng put in a full shift for the Marinos.

Jason Geria put in a full shit for second-last Albirex Niigata who went down 3-0 at Nagoya Grampus.

Across the Sea of Japan to Korea’s K League 2, John Iredale scored his seventh goal this season since his move from Denmark for Seoul E-Land.

However, Iredale’s goal was a consolation in a 4-1 home loss to Busan I’Park.

Finally in Switzerland, Nestory Irankunda helped Grasshoppers avoid relegation, as they beat Aarau 4-1 on aggregate in their two-legged playoff.

Irankunda started and played 81 minutes in the second leg on Friday, after coming off the bench in the first leg 4-0 triumph.
