Connor Metcalfe’s future with relegated German club St Pauli remains unclear. He is contracted until 2027, but the parties may opt to split following relegation. He has been linked with MLS and Championship clubs.
Prior to the World Cup, Metcalfe had opted to park the situation until after the tournament and his goal against Turkiye may have aided his bid to find a new top tier club which would also earn St Pauli a transfer fee.
