Moscow will be the beating heart of the World Cup- it’s the only city to have 2 host stadiums, and another 2 stadiums are accessible by high-speed train. Because of this, many international guests will be based in Moscow meaning the atmosphere will be amazing, particularly in the FIFA Fan Zone.

In terms of the destination itself, Moscow is home to world-class nightlife, restaurants, and historical and cultural sights.

Plus, we’ll arrange all internal arrangements to transport you and other Australians on our Home Base tour to and from Socceroos matches – so you won’t miss a second of Socceroos action!

The Tour commences on Thursday 13 June – the night before the Opening Match which will feature Russia at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. Moscow will be alive!

We were very pleasantly surprised when we travelled to Russia- the people are very warm and friendly, they go out of their way to help you out and are quite open.

Only around 3% of the Russian population can speak English fluently. Outside the international cities of Moscow and St Petersburg English proficiency is even less. The Cyrillic alphabet makes it very difficult to find (or ask directions to) destinations and essential services.

Australian supporters who have  purchased tickets for Russia 2018 can register at the Fan ID Portal to obtain their Fan ID which is required to enter stadiums.

The Fan ID also grants visa-free entry to Russia for the tournament for the period commencing 10 days prior to the tournament and ending 10 days following the conclusion of the tournament.

June in Moscow is a fantastic time to visit. For example, in Moscow expect maximum temperatures ranging from 20 to the mid-30s.

You should pack for Spring-type Australian weather as the nights can become cool.
