Sam Kerr scored two goals and got an assist as Chelsea crushed Leicester City 9-0 away in the English Women’s Super League on Sunday.

Kerr made it 2-0 in the fifth minute at the second attempt from Millie Bright’s pass forward, before the Matildas skipper provided the assist for Bethany England.

England returned the favour with a lofted diagonal ball into the box in the 47th minute which Kerr expertly directed into the corner with her header for 7-0.

Mackenzie Arnold played a full game and Tameka Yallop got through 88 minutes as West Ham United lost 2-0 at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Emily Gielnik played a full game in attack as Aston Villa drew 1-1 with Reading on Saturday.

Arsenal’s clash with Kyah Simon‘s Tottenham was postponed due to a Covid outbreak within the Spurs squad. The Gunners boast three Matildas; Lydia Williams, Steph Catley and Caitlin Foord.

In the Danish Kvindeliga, Angela Beard and Clare Wheeler played full games while Indiah-Paige Riley was a 64th minute substitute as Fortuna Hjorring won 2-0 over Nordsjaelland.

Ella Mastrantonio was a 93rd minute substitute as Pomigliano lost 2-0 at Hellas Verona in the Italian Serie A Women, with Aivi Luik absent.

Amy Harrison was a half-time substitute as PSV Eindhoven drew 0-0 at Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie Women on Sunday.

Beattie Goad was unused as Granadilla Tenerife drew 0-0 with Real Betis in the Spanish Primera Division Femenina.

Clare Polkinghorne put in a full shift as Vittsjo drew 1-1 at Linkoping in the Swedish Damallsvenskan on Sunday.
