Fringe Matildas striker Remy Siemsen netted a hat-trick in Sweden’s Damallsvenskan as Kristianstad won 5-0 over Trelleborg on Saturday.

Siemsen, 24, scored Kristianstad’s first three goals of the comprehensive win, banging in a double in the 17th and 18th minutes.

The former Leicester City and Sydney FC forward rounded out her hat-trick in the 49th minute, before being replaced with 20 minutes to go.

Clare Polkinghorne started and played 61 minutes for Kristianstad too.

Jada Whyman was absent for AIK in their 3-2 win over Norrkoping elsewhere in Sweden.

Sarah Hunter was an unused sub as Paris FC won 4-2 over Montpellier in the French Premiere Ligue.

Ellie Carpenter’s Olympique Lyon are in action on Sunday against Saint-Etienne.

In England’s Women’s Super League on Friday, Hayley Raso made her return from injury but it was an unhappy one as Tottenham were hammered 4-0 by Manchester City.

Raso came on in the 56th minute for Spurs, marking her first appearance since early October, but by that point they were already 2-0 down.

Clare Hunt was caught in possession by Khelifa Shaw for City’s opening goal in the first minute. On the quarter hour, Hunt was out-jumped by Shaw who nodded home from Lauren Hemp’s cross for 2-0. Hunt was hauled off at half-time.

Alanna Kennedy played a full game for City while Mary Fowler was a 70th minute substitute. Charlotte Grant was an 82nd minute sub for Spurs.

Caitlin Foord got on the scoresheet in Arsenal’s 5-0 victory over Dario Vidosic’s Brighton.

Foord, who started and played 72 minutes, scored the Gunners’ second goal with a scuffed close-range effort.

Steph Catley put in a full shift while Kyra Cooney-Cross was a 56th minute sub.

On Sunday, Teagan Micah was an unused sub as Liverpool went down 3-0 to Chelsea.

Clare Wheeler put in a full shift in Everton’s 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, while Katrina Gorry and Courtney Nevin both played full games in West Ham United’s 1-0 win over Leicester City.

In USA’s NWSL, Cortnee Vine made her first appearance since mid-October but it wasn’t enough to save North Caroline Courage.

The Courage went down 1-0 to Kansas City Current to bow out of the quarter-finals. Vine played 15 minutes off the bench as a 75th minute substitute.

Mackenzie Arnold’s Portland went down 2-1 to Gotham FC in the NWSL quarter-finals on Monday (AEDT).
