Creative Matildas midfielder Alex Chidiac has signed a three-year deal to join Italian Serie A Femminile club Como from Melbourne Victory.

The 26-year-old has previously had stints overseas in Japan, Mexico, USA and Spain but this will be her first move to Italy. Como finished sixth last season.

Chidiac’s move comes fresh from winning the Julie Dolan Medal in the 2024-25 A-League season.

“I’m very happy to have joined F.C. Como Women,” Chidiac said.

“Playing in Italy has always been one of my goals: I’ve long wanted to immerse myself in the beauty of the culture and lifestyle, and to compete in a league that really suits my playing style.

“Ever since the club’s relaunch, I’ve followed its journey with great interest and have always appreciated its full commitment to women’s football.”

Only last week Wini Heatley moved from Danish club Nordsjaelland to join Italian outfit AS Roma.

In other transfer news, Courtney Nevin has left English Women’s Super League club Leicester City. The 23-year-old full-back spent two seasons with the Foxes.

We thank those that are departing the Club and wish them the best for their future endeavours 💙
