Matildas full-back Courtney Nevin has completed a move to join Swedish club Malmo FF following her release from English Women’s Super League outfit Leicester City.
The 23-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Damallsvenskan club.
Nevin previously spent two seasons in England with the Foxes after coming through at Western Sydney Wanderers and then Melbourne Victory.
It’ll be Nevin’s second stint in Sweden, having previously spent time in the Damallsvenskan with Hammarby in 2022-2023.
“I’m very happy to be here,” Nevin told the club website. “It seems like a fantastic club, and I was really happy when they showed interest and wanted me.

“I already love this stadium and the sky blue colour, it looks so nice. I’ve gotten to feel the pitch a little and it feels really nice. I’m really looking forward to playing here.
“Damallsvenskan is truly a top league that develops many good players. For me, it’s about continuing to develop as a player and getting as much out of it as possible. Sweden is a fantastic country for that, with a strong league.
“I feel very privileged to have experienced so much in football, and I look forward to bringing that experience here to Malmö and hopefully being able to help the team.
“I have played in the Swedish league before, so I know a bit about it. But at the same time I think it has changed since I was last here, it has really developed. To come back and see it is really fun.”

Four-cap Matildas defender Jessika Nash is the latest Aussie to head to Italy’s Serie A Femminile after signing a deal with Sassuolo.
The 20-year-old was part of the Central Coast Mariners’ side that won the 2024-25 A-League Women’s Championship.
Alanna Kennedy played a full game and conceded a late own goal in Angel City’s 2-0 loss to Seattle Reign in USA’s NWSL.
The Matildas centre-back was unable to clear an awkward corner, deflecting in off her body and into the back of the net.
Elsewhere, Cortnee Vine was a 56th minute substitute in North Carolina Courage’s 0-0 draw against San Diego Wave.
