Ajdin Hrustic provided another assist for Heracles who went down 2-1 to Twente in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday, with the Socceroo’s form boosting his World Cup hopes.
Hrustic almost put Heracles ahead in the 39th minute when he twisted and turned into the box and curled a left-foot shot which was saved. A few minutes, Hrustic’s left-foot corner found Ivan Mesik to put Heracles ahead.
Hrustic has found his groove lately, regularly playing 90 minutes for Heracles and providing two assists in their past two games, boosting his hopes of being part of Australia’s 2026 World Cup squad.
Jordan Bos played a full game at left-back as Feyenoord won 3-2 over Utrecht, while Max Balard missed NAC Breda’s 2-1 loss to Groningen due to suspension.
Mohamed Toure scored Randers’ second goal and set up their first in their 2-1` win over Viborg in Denmark’s Superliga on Sunday.
Toure put Randers 2-0 up in the 15th minute, sweeping home from a low cross into the box.
That came two minutes after providing the assist for Nikolas Dyhr’s opener with some skill on the right side, before whipping in a low ball.
However, Toure exited the game in the 84th minute with an injury. Paul Izzo played the full game in goals for Randers.

Apostolos Stamatelopoulos made it three goals in two games with a double in Motherwell’s 3-2 loss away to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
Stamatelopoulos did exit the game with a limp after picking up a knock but ‘Well are hopeful it’s only minor.
The Socceroo squared the game up in the 40th minute by glancing home Tawanda Maswanhise’s pass, before converting a 56th minute penalty to put his side up,

Jackson Irvine remains sidelined, but there was news this week of internal tension from St Pauli board member Rene Born towards the Socceroo for his stance on Palestine.
Born attacked Irvine on Instagram from a fake account, with the Club distancing itself from the incident, which has brought about speculation Irvine could exit in January.
Mat Ryan played a full game and made two good saves in Levante’s 2-0 victory away to Real Oviedo in Spain’s La Liga.
Ryan made a smart low save to push away David Carmo’s awkward header in the 65th minute, before a spectacular body block from Ilyas Chaira’s point-blank 93rd minute volley.
The Socceroos goalkeeper also announced a major life milestone on social media this weekend the birth of his first child, Preston James Ryan, on September 21.
