Steph Catley could do nothing about Manchester City’s late winner as Arsenal were toppled 3-2 by their title rivals in the English Women’s Super League this weekend.

Catley put in a full shift and was on hand when Iman Beney rifled in an 88th minute winner, unable to get her body in the way to block the shot after Carlotte Wubben-Moy gave the ball away.

Caitlin Foord started and played 68 minutes, while Kyra Cooney-Cross finally got some WSL game-time with 10 minutes off the bench.

Sam Kerr made a cameo as a 78th minute substitute in leaders Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with fourth-placed Manchester United.

Late on, Kerr did well to hold up play, before laying off to Sjoeke Nusken who found Guro Reiten whose goalbound shot was blocked.

Ellie Carpenter played a full game for the Blues.

Katrina Gorry played a full game and had a powerful strike tipped away as West Ham United’s losing run continued with a 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa.

Clare Hunt put in a full shift in defence and was impressive as Tottenham defeated Brighton 1-0. Charlize Rule played the full game for the Seagulls. Charli Grant was an 88th minute substitute for Spurs.

Emily van Egmond played 80 minutes in Leicester City’s 1-1 draw with Everton on Sunday. Clare Wheeler started and played 69 minutes for the Toffees.

Alanna Kennedy was a 90th minute substitute for London City Lionesses as they got past struggling Liverpool 1-0.

In Sweden’s Damallsvenskan, Amy Sayer scored one and set up another in Kristianstad’s 2-1 victory away to Vittsjo.

Sayer equalized in the 61st minute before laying off the pass for Alice Egner’s winner two minutes later.

The Matildas talent has two goals and four assists in 17 appearances this season.

Sayer played a full game while Remy Siemsen started and played 75 minutes. Daniela Galic got through 71 minutes for Vittsjo.

In Germany’s Frauen-Bundesliga, Hayley Raso came on late in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 3-1 home win over Carl Zeiss Jena, for whom Anna Margraf got an assist after being a 67th minute substitute.

In France’s Premiere Ligue, Teagan Micah was an unused substitute for Lyon in their 8-1 win away to Lens.
