Tom Rogic had an emotional farewell after almost a decade with Celtic having announced he’ll be leaving in the off-season.

Rogic started and played 62 minutes in Celtic’s 6-0 victory over Motherwell as they concluded their triumphant Scottish Premiership-winning season in style on Saturday.

The Scotsman rated Rogic 7/10 and wrote: “Said goodbye to Celtic Park as a winner in an emotional afternoon but no goal or typically late runs for popular midfielder. Replaced to standing ovation by James McCarthy.”

Rogic was named in the Scottish PFA Team of the Year this season for the first time in his career.

“I am ready for a new challenge and a change of scene is something that will motivate me,” Rogic told Channel 10.

“I’ll sit down with my agent in the coming weeks and discuss my options. Right now it’s just about what a great time I’ve had here and enjoying my last couple of days.”

Cameron Devlin and Nathaniel Atkinson both earned 5/10 ratings for their 45-minute displays in Hearts’ 3-1 home loss to Rangers. Devlin started the game but was replaced at the break by Atkinson as Hearts finished the season third.

The Edinburgh Evening News rated Devlin 5/10 and wrote: “Got a bit lost in the central midfield area. Put in his usual effort but not to much effect and got barked at by Robbie Neilson. Subbed at the break.”

On Atkinson, the Edinburgh Evening News wrote: “Did a little better than Smith at right-back, but not by much.”

Mat Ryan was an unused sub as sixth-placed Real Sociedad won 2-1 at seventh-placed Villarreal to clinch a Europa League spot via the Spanish La Liga on Sunday.

Ajdin Hrustic was a 59th minute substitute as Eintracht Frankfurt drew 2-2 at FSV Mainz to finish the German Bundesliga season in 11th.

Jackson Irvine played a full game as St Pauli rounded out their 2.Bundesliga campaign with a 2-0 home win over Fortuna Dusseldorf. St Pauli fell short of promotion, finishing fifth.

Cristian Volpato made his third senior appearance for AS Roma, coming on as an 83rd minute substitute in their 1-1 home draw with Venezia in Italy’s Serie A on Saturday.

In Serie B, Fran Karacic was absent as Brescia won their promotion playoff 3-2 over Perugia.

Mitch Langerak and Adam Taggart faced off with Nagoya Grampus edging Cerezo Osaka in the Japanese J.League.

Langerak put in a full shift and kept another clean sheet, while Taggart came off the bench at half-time, but missed a sitter from metres out when he got his feet in a tangle from Jean Patric’s ball across goal.
