Harry Souttar was back among the Leicester City matchday squad for the first time since 2024 but went unused as the Foxes’ relegation woes worsened with a 1-0 home loss to Swansea City.
Souttar hasn’t played since sustained an Achilles injury in late 2024, suffering a more recent setback which has further delayed his return.
However, the Socceroos centre-back – who is an outside chance to make the World Cup squad if he can string a run of games together – returned on Saturday in the English Championship albeit he went unused.
Leicester’s loss leaves them deep in the drop zone, sitting 23rd and with a four-point gap to safety with four games to play.

McGree was rated 5/10 by Teesside Live who wrote: “Almost playing two positions as he stepped up into the forward line when in possession, but then had to drop back into the midfield when off the ball. As important as he is, today was one of those days where things didn’t come off. Did have one stunning volley well-saved but otherwise didn’t look like making a decisive impact.”
