Socceroo Patrick Yazbek practically scored as Viking drew 2-2 away to Molde in the Norwegian Eliteserien on Sunday.
With scores 1-1 early in the second half, Yazbek nipped in at the back post to head Zlatko Tripic’s cross into the back of the net.
Yazbek’s header, however, hit the crossbar, before bouncing off opposition goalkeeper Sean McDermott’s head and across the line, meaning it went down as an own goal.
Yazbek started and played 71 minutes, while Nick D’Agostino also started and got through 80 minutes. Gianni Stensness put in a full shift in defence.
Mitch Duke’s Japanese J1 League-leading Machida Zelvia lost 3-1 to Thomas Deng’s Albirex Niigata on Saturday.
Duke was a 73rd minute substitute for newly-promoted Machida, while Deng put in a full shift for Albirex.
Shota Fujio had equalized for Machida in the 27th minute when Deng was blocked from thwarting a counter-attack by the referee.
Elsehwere, Mitch Langerak’s Nagoya Grampus went down 2-1 to Kawasaki Frontale on Sunday.
Lachlan Jackson and Harrison Delbridge both played full games as Suwon City won 3-1 over Incheon United in Korea’s K League 1.
In K2, Peter Makrillos put in a full shift as Seoul E-Land won 2-1 over Gyeongnam to sit third.
Awer Mabil started and played 95 minutes before being substituted late as Grasshoppers avoided relegation with a dramatic 2-1 away win over FC Thun in the Swiss Super League playoffs.
Grasshoppers scored a 91st minute winner from Asumah Abubakar, meaning they triumphed 3-2 on aggregate having drawn 1-1 at home. Joshua Laws was an unused sub.
