Caitlin Foord was the hero with an 104th minute winner as Arsenal lifted the inaugural Women’s Champions Cup with a 3-2 extra-time victory over Corinthians in London.
The Matildas forward was played into space on the left side of the box, before squeezing home a left-foot near-post shot which appeared to deceive the Corinthians keeper.
Foord had entered the game as a 64th minute substitute fort he Gunners, while Steph Catley put in a full shift with Gabi Zanotti’s 21st minute goal skimming in off the Matilda.
Goal.com rated Foord 8/10 and wrote: “The hero off the bench, Foord struck the post in normal time and went one better as her strike squeezed in at the near post to seal Gunners glory.”

Alanna Kennedy was an 82nd minute substitute for London City Lionesses in their 2-1 win away to Brighton & Hove Albion. For the Seagulls, Charlize Rule started and played 71 minutes.
Clare Wheeler put in a full shift as Everton claimed an important 2-1 win over Aston Villa to move away from the drop zone.
Katrina Gorry and Clare Hunt both played full games for their respective sides as Tottenham downed struggling West Ham United 2-1.
Sam Kerr was a 50th minute substitute for Chelsea in their 5-1 defeat away to Manchester City, which all but ended the Blues’ title aspirations.

In Italy, Jessika Nash played a full game and Jacynta Galabadaarachchi started and played 57 minutes in Sassuolo’s 4-0 loss at Juventus.
Wini Heatley was a 58th minute substitute for AS Roma in their 3-3 draw at Parma, while Alex Chidiac put in a full shift in Como’s 1-1 draw at Lazio.
