Matildas midfielder Katrina Gorry is set for scans after being forced out of West Ham United’s 2-0 home loss to Chelsea in the Women’s Super League on Sunday with a leg injury.
Gorry exited the game in the 21st minute, having picked up the knock minutes earlier. She had initially tried to play on.
Hammers manager Rehanne Skinner said: “We need to make sure we see how that settles down over night and then get her assessed as early as we possibly can and see what the outcome is.
“She is in a boot – on a precautionary basis – as we want whatever swelling comes to settle down and then we will go from there.”
Mackenzie Arnold played a full game in the loss to Sam Kerr’s ladder-leading Chelsea, with the Hammers still 11th, six points above last-placed Bristol City.

Caitlin Foord came off the bench to help Arsenal claim a 3-1 win away to Aston Villa to stay in touch with the leaders.
Foord was a 65th-minute substitute along with Steph Catley while Kyra Cooney-Cross came on in the 81st minute.
Upon wave after wave of Arsenal pressure, Foord was in the thick of the action with a 74th minute volley forcing a brilliant instinctive save from Villa keeper Anna Leat at 1-1.
After taking a 3-1 lead, Foord almost grabbed a goal of her own in the 90th minute, cutting inside and seeing a curling effort ruffle the top of the netting.
Alanna Kennedy made her first WSL start since early December as Manchester City defeated city rivals Manchester United 3-1 in front of more than 40,000 fans.

The result means second-placed City remain right in the title hunt, level on points with Chelsea.
Kennedy has made 12 league appearances for City this season with 10 starts, along with three cup appearances.
