Matildas defender Winonah Heatley may have missed Olympics selection but she was celebrating this week after leading FC Nordsjaelland to the Danish Women’s Cup.
Heatley was captain as Nordsjaelland triumphed 2-1 over Brondby in Wednesday’s final.
The ex-Brisbane Roar and Melbourne City talent started and played the full game, coming in the same week she celebrated her 23rd birthday.
Heatley also last week celebrated lifting the Danish Kvindeliga title as Nordsjaelland finished top with a 1-1 draw with Brondby enough to secure the crown.
