Nestory Irankunda has made it two goals in two games, both with sensational free-kicks, to help Watford earn a 2-2 draw with Southampton in England’s Championship on Saturday.
Trailing 2-1 with 10 minutes to go, Irankunda stepped up for a free-kick which he rifled into the top-right corner.
After the game, Watford boss Paulo Pezzolano praised Irankunda for his impact but insisted he needs to know this is only the start, following his move from Bayern Munich.
Pezzolano told BBC Three Counties Radio: “I’m not really surprised (by Irankunda). We knew about Nestory’s quality. He had shown that in the other teams he had worked.
“We didn’t expect those free-kicks in such a short time but we knew he was a very good free-kick taker.
“The most important thing for him to understand is he needs to keep on working. He has not accomplished anything yet and we know that he has so much more to give.”
