Mat Ryan produced an incredible double save from an Isaac Romero penalty as Levante won 3-0 away to Sevilla in Spain’s La Liga on Sunday.
With Levante 2-0 up in second-half stoppage time, Ryan preserved his clean sheet after the hosts won a spotkick.
The Australian saved the initial effort with his legs, before diving back across goal to parry the headed rebound too.
Ryan finished the game with seven saves in an impressive display.
Alessandro Circati played a full game for Parma in their 1-1 draw away to Sassuolo in Italy’s Serie A on Saturday.
Cam Devlin put in a full shift as Hearts remained top of the table with a 1-0 home win over Livingston in the Scottish Premiership.
Devlin was rated 8/10 by the Edinburgh Evening News, who wrote: “Some nice touches, especially a first-half flick with the outside of his boot to evade Scott Pittman.”
Lewis Miller put in a full shift and got the assist for the equaliser as Blackburn Rovers rallied back from tow goals down to draw 2-2 with Charlton in England’s Championship on Sunday.
Miller was rated 6/10 by Lancashire Telegraph, who wrote: “Struggled in the first half against Campbell. Was better in the second half and produced the cross for Baradji’s leveller. Produced a goal-saving intervention at 2-1 too.”
Sam Silvera netted Middlesbrough’s second goal as the promotion hopefuls hammered Southampton 4-0.
Silvera, who played a full game on the right wing, was rated 7/10 by Teesside Live who wrote: “Often wasteful in the first half when in good areas. But his effort was there and his defensive contributions valuable in the first half.
“His confidence looked to have been boosted by his excellent goal to put Boro up. Ayling’s long diagonal was superb, but Silvera still needed a brilliant touch and clinical finish to earn it.”
Callum Elder played an hour of Derby County’s 2-1 home defeat to Wrexham, while Cam Burgess played the full 90 in Swansea’s 2-1 loss at Millwall.
In transfer news, Anthony Carter has been loaned from Portuguese Primeira Liga club Santa Clara to second tier outfit Farense for the rest of the season.
Goalkeeper Tom Glover, who left Middlesbrough a few months ago, has signed with Japanese J2 club RB Omiya Ardija.
