Kyah Simon was stretchered off injured late as Tottenham won 2-1 away to Reading in the English Continental Tyres League Cup on Sunday.

Simon, who has already been withdrawn from the upcoming Matildas squad, had come on in the 59th minute before being stretchered off in the 90th minute.

Spurs head coach Rehanne Skinner said about the incident: “To be honest my view was a little bit obscured. It looks like she took an impact. I’m not 100% sure of the outcome right now.

“The player slipped and obviously she’s then made contact. Hopefully it’s nothing serious, that’s all we can hope for right now.”

🎙️ "It's a huge step forward from last week and that's the most important thing"

Mackenzie Arnold helped West Ham United to an epic 10-9 penalty shootout victory over London City Lionesses after a 2-2 draw in their Continental Tyres League Cup clash on Sunday.

Arnold played the full game and even took a spotkick, before Lily Agg fired over the bar to decide the contest.

Jacynta Galabadaraachchi continued her goal scoring with another strike in Celtic’s 2-0 win over Partick Thistle to reach the SWPL Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.

Galabadaraachchi finished off a nice team move with a simple tap-in in the 26th minute, for her ninth goal in seven games.

Remy Siemsen, who has been called up to the Matildas squad, maintained her hot form with her third goal in five games as AIK lost 4-2 to Djurgarden in the Swedish Damallsvenskan on Sunday.

However, Siemsen also had a 73rd minute penalty saved. Siemsen put in a full shift and got an 88th minute consolation goal for AIK, heading home from a right-wing cross.

Kyra Cooney-Cross also scored in the Damallsvenskan as Hammarby drew 1-1 at Pitea on Sunday. Cooney-Cross, who started and played 88 minutes, opened the scoring in the 22nd minute.

Elise Kellond-Knight started and played 76 minutes, while Courtney Nevin started and played 61 minutes.

Clare Polkinghorne was among the scorers as Vittsjo won 5-0 over Umea, netting her side’s second goal. Polkinghorne along with Charlotte Grant and Katrina Gorry put in full shifts for Vittsjo, while Emma Checker played a full game for Umea.

Lydia Williams was again an unused sub as PSG drew 2-2 at Le Havre in the French Feminine Division 1 on Sunday. Williams is behind 35-year-old 149-time France international Sarah Bouhaddi in the PSG goalkeeper hierarchy.

Emily van Egmond was replaced at half-time with a quad strain that has ruled her out of the upcoming Matildas squad as San Diego Wave drew 0-0 with North Carolina Courage in the USA’s NWSL. The injury comes ahead of the NWSL playoffs.

Emily van Egmond (quad strain), Tameka Yallop (ankle), Clare Wheeler (minor knee) and forward Kyah Simon have all been ruled out due to injuries.
