Max Balard scored his first Dutch Eredivisie goal to help NAC Breda earn a share of the spoils with a 1-1 home draw with Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday.
Balard levelled the game in the 53rd minute with a fine left-foot strike, collecting the ball on the edge of the box, before lashing home a low shot with his third touch.
The former Central Coast midfielder has played 28 games this season but that was his first goal, with one assist to his name this campaign.
Balard put in a full shift with the result seeing NAC sit 14th on the table with five games to play, seven points above the relegation playoff spot.
Jackson Irvine and Connor Metcalfe were both in action as St Pauli secured a crucial three points in their bid for survival with a 2-1 win at Holstein Kiel in Germany’s Bundesliga.
Irvine put in a full shift and was robust in the centre of the park in the clash between two sides fighting the drop.
Metcalfe only got a late cameo as an 87th minute substitute, before St Pauli’s late winner with a dramatic 92nd minute own goal.
The result means 15th-placed St Pauli are seven points above 16th-placed Heidenheim in the relegation playoff spot, while Kiel stay last.

Jack Iredale, Nectar Triantis and Miller all played full games, while Boyle started and played 74 minutes in the win where Hibs scored three goals in the final 25 minutes.
Riley McGree made his long-awaited return from injury, playing 25 minutes in Middlesbrough’s 1-0 loss to Millwall in the English Championship on Saturday.
McGree hadn’t played since January 11 due to a string of injuries, but came on in the 66th minute against the Lions, having been an unused sub in the previous three games.
Evening Gazette rated McGree 5/10 and wrote: “First game back after injury, this was a tough game for him to come on in and he struggled to have an impact as Millwall put ten men behind the ball and made the final third compact.”
Cameron Burgess played a full game at Stamford Bridge as relegation-threatened Ipswich Town claimed a 2-2 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.
The East Anglia Daily Times rated Burgess 7/10 and wrote: “Was beaten by Madueke ahead of Chelsea pulling a goal back early in the second half. Dealt with Nicolas Jackson pretty well though.”
