In Scotland’s Premiership, Martin Boyle scored again in Hibernian’s 3-1 loss away to Celtic.
Boyle was rated 7/10 by Edinburgh Evening News who wrote: “Took his goal with aplomb, having been denied by Schmeichel just moments earlier. Lost his footing at vital moment just as he might have made it 2-1. Made way for Bowie after 64 minutes.”
The goal was Boyle’s 13th of the Premiership season and 18th in all competitions.
Nectar Triantis impressed in midfield, receiving a 6/10 from Edinburgh Evening News who wrote: “So much potential on display from the Sunderland loanee, just short-listed for Scottish Football Writers Association Player of the Year. Gave Hibs a toehold in midfield and kept Callum McGregor (mostly) quiet.”
Cammy Devlin put in a full shift for Hearts in a 3-0 win over Motherwell in the relegation group.
Edinburgh Evening News rated him 6/10: “Callum Slattery gave him as good as he got in the physical battle. Used all his experience and energy to put the shutters on the Motherwell midfield in the second 45.”
